Check Registrant Email Or Contact Support in SSL Certificate Management tool

Maximum website encryption protection.
Once you have ordered your SSL certificate through the SSL Certificate Management tool, you can check the status of its installation.
Login into the WebControlCenter and access Ecommerce > Security Services > SSL Management.

Within the 'SSL certificate' table, you will see Check Registrant Email Or Contact Support if more information is needed to issue your SSL certificate or incorrect data was provided during the ordering stage.

Check Registrant Email Or Contact Support
In certain circumstances, it is necessary to provide additional documentation to Trustwave (the company that issues the SSL certificates we offer) before a certificate can be issued through the SSL Management tool in the WebControlCenter. This usually involves providing proof for the following:
  • Domain Ownership
  • Organization Validation

An email will be sent to you from Trustwave (to the first customer email address on your account) that will explain what needs to be done to provide this information. Once the information is provided, the certificate will be issued and installed automatically. You can now test the installation of your certificate by browsing to (where is your domain name or the common name that was used for generating the CSR).

Please Note: If you are notified in Certificate Management that more documentation is required for an certificate order, and you do not receive an email from TrustWave, please contact support, so we can investigate further.

Bad CSR Data
If you see this as the status for your certificate, part of the information provided to create the CSR was not specified correctly. For example, you may have chosen the wrong state for the city you specified.

With this status, it is necessary to delete your CSR request, and then resubmit it for the SSL certificate to be installed properly.

Once you have clicked Delete, you will next need to verify that you want this particular SSL request removed.

Then, you will be able to order a new CSR and begin the SSL installation process again. For detailed instructions on how to use the SSL Management tool, read Knowledge Base Article #767
