Domain Registration for WebControlCenter Accounts

All domain name registrations are done in your name and you retain full ownership. For information on managing your domain registration see: Domain Registration Admin

Once you choose to register a domain through us, we’ll automatically perform a look up on the domain to make sure it is available, and we'll immediately start the registration process (with payment). Once registered, new domain names generally take 24-48 hours to propagate throughout the Internet.

We are able to register domains with the following extensions: .com, .net, .org, .us, .info, .biz, .name

New domain registrations cost $10.95 per year*.

Private Domain Name Registration**

When you register a domain name, your contact information is available to anyone via a WHOIS search. For an additional $15.90 ($7.95 per year), you can elect a private domain name registration so that your contact information is kept private and not listed in the public WHOIS database. No longer will spammers, telemarketers, data miners, identity thieves, and others have access to your domain's contact name, email address, postal address, and phone number.

With a private registration, your domain will have alternate contact information displayed in the results of a WHOIS search. So instead of your personal information, a default email address, postal address, and phone number will appear as the contact information.

Please note, however, that the registrant name (the personal or business name listed as the owner of the domain) will still be listed, even with private registration enabled.

You still retain full benefits of ownership of the domain name and can cancel, sell, renew or transfer your domain as before; and you're in no way restricted from transferring your domain name to another registrant or registrar when you utilize private registration.

Please note: Private registration is not available for the .us extension.
For instruction on how to enable Private registration on an existing domain registered through the WebControlCenter see: How do I enable Domain Private Registration?

Transferring Domain Name Registration

If you would like to transfer your domain from another registrar, and consolidate your registration and web hosting to one source, you can utilize the Domain Registration Admin tool in the DNS section of the WebControlCenter. (
See Transferring Domains for step by step instructions.) The domain transfer itself costs NOTHING; we simply add one year of registration onto the expiration date for $10.95 (we utilize MelbourneIT as our registrar). After that, you will able to renew your domain name with a click of a mouse in the WebControlCenter at the same great price.

* New domain registrations require a 2 year purchase; subsequent renewals of your domain can be purchased on a yearly basis.

**Full Terms and Conditions regarding private registration can be found at  Terms and Conditions are subject to change.

the only thing I see on DNS domain registration admin is a transfer link. Where do I renew?

Thank you for your inquiry regarding how to renew your domain name. You mentioned you only see a transfer link in the DNS Domain Registration Admin page. The transfer link indicates that the domain is not registered through the WebControlCenter and provides you the option to transfer the domain from its current registrar, so that you can manage your web hosting and domain registration together. The following Knowledge Base article provides you instructions on how to prepare the domain for transfer and guides you through the transfer process.

To identify the current registrar of your domain, you can do a public Whois search on the internet. A popular site to use is On this site, you’ll type your domain name without the www into the 'Whois - Domain/IP' field and click the 'Whois' button to initiate your search. Locate the Registrar field for the name of the company that holds your domain registration. There should also be a Referral URL field with a web address where you can visit their site.

I hope this information is helpful to you. Please feel free to speak to one of our live agents for further assistance. The following Knowledge Base article will provide you with our contact information and hours of operation.

Thank you.
