If you find in your email reports that an account named "_other" exists, the reasons for this are outlined below:
- An email alias that forwards to a remote email address.
- Any statistic that gets added for a user that doesn't exist falls under
A message is sent out from your server using SMTP auth bypass using a
from address that doesn't exist.
A message is sent from a non-existent user on one of your domains to a
real user on one of your domains. (Think spoofed spam). This would count
as an Outgoing message for _other, since the message was sent from a
non-existent user on one of your domains.
The _other user holds all statistics that could not be attributed to any
real user The _other user is there in an attempt to get the
totals for all users to match the count for the domain. It does not
actually exist in any manner other than for reporting statistics.
